8th Grade has been busy finishing up their independent studies and presenting to the class. This class had pushed themselves to not only learn about new styles of art but they all took a chance in trying new techniques. We will greatly miss this 8th grade class but know that they will be ready for high school art. Here are some photos of a few projects on: Pop Art, Modern Ceramics and Art Deco Fashion

7th Grade Roy Lichtenstein
7th Grade learned about Pop Art and the artwork of Roy Lichtenstein. Students were given the goal of creating a painting in his style that shows a mystery. We wish we would have had more time to incorporate some writing into this lesson besides a a self critique. It would have been awesome to have students write a mystery story or poem. On my list for next year!!
