4th grade landscapes

4th grade busy creating landscapes using oil pastel. We are currently in the middle of a unit all about landscapes in a variety of mediums. Happy art making! -Mrs. Phelps

7th Grade Oil Pastel and Watercolor

After studying a variety of artists and how they used flowers on their work, 7th grade created their own art. What a beautiful job they did! They even made a class vase with flowers!

6th Grade Ming Dynasty

6th grade students recently learned about ancient China in social studies class. In art we studied the Ming Dynasty and examined the unique geography of China. Students then created ther own vases in the Ming style and painted a background showing the landscape. Great work! 

6th Grade Abstract Faces

6th Grade- Student learned about Pablo Picasso and Abstract Art.  This multimedia project involved creating linoleum blocks of various facial features. Students finished faces by using oil pastels and blending focusing on colors that they felt best worked together.  We will be posting more photos as students complete their faces. Awesome job 6th Grade!

4th Grade Amedeo Modigliani Inspired Portraits 

Students studied the artist Modigliani and created portraits using oil pastels. Student picked a role model from their own life to use in their drawing.  Students did a superb job! Modigliani would be impressed.
